Live, native birds of prey - hawks and owls - will help St. Francis Wildlife Association’s education director Sandy Beck share their personal stories, the amazing adaptations that enable them to hunt and survive, the important roles these raptors play in our Red Hills, and what we can all do to help them. Wednesday, December 5th, 7 p.m., Radical Raptors Science Salon. Fly on over to Waterworks, 1133 Thomasville Rd., Tallahassee, for a cold one and an eyeful of exquisite hawks and owls. Sandy Beck, St. Francis Wildlife’s education director, and several native birds of prey will teach you how to identify soaring raptors, and then dive into the amazing adaptations that define their species and how you can help them.
