Breaking News & Upcoming Events

Thursday, April 12, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Living in Harmony With Wildlife.
St. Francis Wildlife presents April's Sierra Club Big Bend program, United Church, 1834 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee. What should you do or not do when you find injured, orphaned or sick wildlife? Several non-releaseable feathered, furry, and scaled friends will help St. Francis Wildlife's education director Sandy Beck share their personal stories, the unique adaptations that enable their species to survive, the challenges they face, and specific actions you can take to safely help your wild neighbors. What we understand, appreciate and love, we will protect. Program free and open to the public.

Saturday, April 14, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Word of South Festival, Cascades Park, the Edison Power Plant Stage
Sandy Beck and two of our disabled raptors are honored to share the stage with Jeff VanderMeer, author of the critically acclaimed NYT-bestselling Southern Reach trilogy. Jeff will read from Borne and The Strange Bird (written from a bird’s point of view). Please stay for a book signing and to learn more about our local wildlife rehabilitation center.
